   Is there a way to identify who it is that "likes" one's hubs?  Also who it is that shares them?
   
   Just curious.  It would be satisfying to assess the impact one's hubs are having by noting how it is that responds.  As far as know, unless one leaves a comment, all other responses are anonymous.

   I don't think there really is a way, unless it's someone that you know. But even if you don't know who it is, it still helps you a great deal.

   If you are reffering to likes on facebook you should find that the notifications icon on facebook tells you which users have "likes" your hubs. You will need to log onto facebook for that information.
   
   Here on Hub Pages if you go to the tab at the top that has your user name, and then you go to my account, then click on any one of your hubs that you are looking on information for. Click on stats, then day, week or month tab....This will at times give you information about who has been reading your hubs.
   
   If you go to Google Analytics this too will give you extra information about who has read your hubs, in which country and on what type of device. I hope this answer helps. From Safiq Ali Patel.

   I haven't really thought about this before but if a person takes the time to read your hub and finds it of some interest they should follow you.  I admit, I'm guilty of read and run too but maybe a short sentence at the end, something like "If  you enjoyed this hub and want to read more like it please follow me"  may remind people to click the little green capsule. 
   
   I also have actively sought out twitter followers (+-10,000) that may be interested in my writings and I have over 300 face book fans where I regularly post my latest writing.  I tweet every 15 minutes with an automation tool and I find I get way more traffic through tweets and face book over Google.
   
   There is no way that I can see where you can identify other hubbers.
   
   Have you ever thought of adding an email sign up?  You can get it through Chimp Mail.  You get up to 2000 subscribers and 12000 sent emails per month before you incur any charges.

   You may not be able to do it for hubpages, as it doesn't allow custom html for our hubs. If you decide to develop your virtual real estate and start your own blog or website you can see who the people are that facebook like your site/page.
   
   You do this by manually creating the facebook like button to your website and selecting show facebook user.
   
   You may have seen this on popular blogs like pro blogger, where you can see the people who like the site.
   
   I don't think you would benfit from knowing who likes your pages on hubpages. You're better off building an email list that you can talk and market to.
   
   Another thing to consider, which I learnt in my ebay days, is how much we need our hand held. If the reason you ask this question is to engage more with your readers, then at the end of your articles ask people to leave a comment. You'll be surprised at how many people start to.

   People who visit my hubs usually seem to leave fully identified person-to-person comments in which they usually mention if they're also voting for them &/or sharing them elsewhere.  I'm not too interested in 'anonymous' non-responses or wide circulation to anonymous readers.

   I have a hub with a couple of hundred facebook 'likes' and counting and I find that entering the full internet link into google will show me at least some of the posts and links where people have liked or talked about the link. This is where they have some form of open communication through their profile.
   
   Example  "http://liftandsoar.hubpages.com/question/206162/is-there-a-way-to-identify-who-it-is-that-likes-ones-hubs--also-who-it-is-that-shares-them#open"
   
   For me the 'anonymous' comments mean more than anyone from hubpages commenting as these are generally the people that are searching for my work through search engines.  I'm more inclined to find someone will comment from outside hubpages if the content has flaws or raises a particular questions. Whereas from hubpages you get alot of comments that generally don't mean anything in the context of the hub on many occassions.
